New websites built by Untangled Web typically cost between $600-$1,000. The majority of the work in designing and creating a web site is put into the first page. Once that is set up correctly, additional pages are based on a similar layout.

The cost is calculated on a per hour basis so the more good quality content and images you provide, the more cost effective the project will be. Before any project begins, an estimate will be provided.

Additional/ongoing work

Additional work is charged at $45 per hour. You will not be asked to commit to an ongoing monthly or yearly charge. You will be charged only for the work done, usually on an accumulating basis when an agreed amount (usually $50) has been reached.

Search engine optimisation

Unfortunately, quoting for increasing your rankings is difficult to do until a review is made of the work that needs to be done. Please email or fill out the enquiry form for an estimate.

Domain name

Your website will need a domain name which is a unique name that identifies an Internet site usually beginning with the prefix 'www' (for world wide web). Domain names have two or more parts separated by dots eg. 'untangledweb.co.nz' or 'nz.com'.

You can check the availability of domain names with the New Zealand Domain Name Commissioner. It also has a list of authorised registrars one of which you can choose to register your website name.

Web hosting is a service that provides a physical location in which a web site resides. Customers' websites are stored on computer servers located in secure and climate-controlled environments and permanently connected to the Internet through high-speed data lines.

There are many companies which provide domain name registries and web hosting. Just search for these phrases on the Internet and you will see the many options offered.
